10 Halloween nail art ideas

It's officially fall, which means it's time for one of my favourite seasons: Halloween nail art season 👻🕸

Fun fact, Halloween was one of my least favourite holidays until I started doing nail art, and now I look forward to it every year! Ghosts, pumpkins, spiderwebs... there are so many fun Halloween designs to try.

You may notice that I like to do a lot of glow-in-the-dark nail designs. Glow in the dark polish is always optional for any of these designs (just use a regular polish instead), but if you're interested, my favourite glowing polishes are Cirque Colors' Phantom Glow or Holo Taco's Glow in the Dark Taco

Here are 10 Halloween nail art ideas to try this year.

1. Spider webs

Use a glow-in-the-dark base (or any regular colour of your choice) and a black or white polish for the webs to create these fun cobweb nails 🕸

@thisiznails Colourful glow in the dark spider webs 🕸️🕷️ these might be some of my favourite Halloween nails I’ve ever done 👀 #glowinthedarknails #spiderwebnails #halloweennails #halloween #nailart ♬ This Is Halloween - Vitamin String Quartet

2. Pumpkins

I love these pumpkin nails so much that I've done them every year for the past few years. 🎃 You can use orange for traditional pumpkins or use any colour of your choice for something different (I think pink pumpkins would be super cute!).

3. Halloween icons

These nails are so simple and cute, with a few basic Halloween icons (ghosts, bats, witch hats...) over a neutral base.

4. Monster Mash

Paint different monsters on each nail for a cute Monster Mash mani 🎃👻

5. Ghosties

These little glow-in-the-dark ghosts might just be one of my favourite Halloween nail designs I've ever done 👻

6. Glow in the dark eyeballs

Spooky eyeballs are definitely a Halloween go-to!

7. Blood drips

These blood drip nails are so simple and spooky. You could try adding a glow-in-the-dark topcoat over the drips to make them even more fun!

8. Bats

Are you noticing a glow-in-the-dark theme across these nail ideas? Glow-in-the-dark nails are so much fun around Halloween, and they add a little extra surprise to a mani. But these bats would still be so cute over a regular neutral base or the colour of your choice.

9. Witch hats

These witch hats are great for both short or long nails. I used different colours for the ribbon on the hats to switch up each nail.

10. Glossy spiderwebs

Paint a matte topcoat over a black or dark base, then paint cobwebs with a glossy topcoat for a subtle and cute glossy spiderweb design.

@thisiznails Happy halloween nails season!! 🎃👻🕸 starting off with some glossy spider webs 🕷 what do you want to see next? 👀 #halloweennails #spookynails #spookyseason #mattenails #spiderwebnails #diymani ♬ Halloween ・ cute horror song - PeriTune
